Christian Fellowship in Richmond is a Bible-based family church who meet at Halford House, a building in the heart of Richmond, south-west London. Most of us live close to or within a couple of miles of the town centre; we are drawn from many walks of life and span all age ranges. We have strong links to other local churches and an established and growing youth work.
Our emphasis is on building a living relationship with Jesus Christ, relationships with each other and recognising Jesus's command to be 'salt and light' in our community and neighbourhood. We maintain contacts with various churches, organisations and friends around the world and regularly welcome overseas visitors and other guests.
Our main meeting takes place on Sunday at 10.30am. We usually begin with an open time of praise, thanksgiving and worship during which everyone who wishes to is encouraged to participate. After sharing communion bread and wine together, we spend time learning from the Bible, while the children meet together in separate classes.
Halford House was originally an 18th century manor house which, when dilapidated, was purchased by the Fellowship in 1954. The house is used for many activities including a mid-week course explaining the Christian faith, prayer meetings, youth evenings and a mothers-and-toddlers group. We also have informal house groups that meet regularly in private homes.
We warmly welcome anyone who is looking for a local church or simply wants to find out more about the Christian faith. Ring us, or visit us on a Sunday and stay behind after the morning meeting, as many of us do, to chat over tea and coffee.
